General X-ray is the most basic form of medical imaging using x-rays to produce images. X-rays produces a fixed or still image of the inside of the body. Any part of the body can be x-rayed to show the bones, muscles and vessels, depending on how much radiation can be absorbed.
Patients should dress comfortably, in clothes that are easy to remove. When necessary patients are provided with a gown to change into for the X-ray. Patients should limit jewelry and/or metal in the area to be examined.
